Veterinarian, VMD
Dr. Shelly Mannino was raised in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania and received her B.S. in Nutrition Science from Penn State University in 1993. Prior to attending veterinary school, Shelly worked for 10 years as a nutrition researcher at Penn State studying childhood obesity and its effects on health. She graduated with honors from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and practiced small animal medicine and surgery in State College for two years before coming to work at Metzger Animal hospital. Dr. Mannino has a special interest in feline internal medicine, endocrinology, clinical pathology, preventative medicine and shelter medicine.
Dr. Mannino resides in Gatesburg with her husband, Joe, and two rescued golden retrievers (Nate and Sam). In her free time Dr. Mannino enjoys gardening, reading, and outdoor activities.
